Wow-wee, what a few weeks it’s been!
It’s been a while, and after my last post I’m sure you’ll understand. The roller coaster has finally pulled into the loading area, however, and I’m here with a veritable scroll of updates.
The first is that April is officially “The Month of Workshops” here at Sex Coach Shannon.

I know, I know, by the time this post is published three of those opportunities will have already passed! For that, I am actually sorry. For both of us, honestly. I would have loved to have you.
However, there is so much good news!
- Harness Sex and Polyamory Panel happen every other month at the Happy Kitten Pleasure School. You can catch me there in June!
- Kink, Fetish, and BDSM was only available for students at the Sexology Institute. Want an intro course open to all? You got it! I’ve added it to June’s Calendar.
- Becoming More Sex-Positive was recorded and is available here.
Don’t Miss These!
There are still lots of workshops that haven’t happened yet. These include:
Sexual Communication Strategies [Virtual], free

Let’s face it: sometimes talking about sex is hard. Whether it’s knowing how to put what you want into words, or figuring out how to actually say those words out loud, the struggle to communicate has held countless people back from having the sex they desire.
Join me in this free workshop to learn how to use the Sexual Communication Cycle to your advantage.
Strap-On Sex [Virtual], $15

Whether you and your partners are strap-on novices or pegging aficionados, there’s always something new to discover about this fun form of penetration.
Come learn about common myths, selecting the right lubes and equipment, preparing for play, stimulating areas like the g-spot and prostate, different positions, and how to achieve even more pleasure with strap-on sex.
The Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt
After two years of hiatus for safety precautions, the Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt is finally returning to Louisiana!
I’ll be leading two in-person sessions available to attendees:
Addressing Sex-Negativity
Even radically sex-positive people can harbor internal negative ideas around sex—there’s just so much messaging encouraging us to do so! Come together with like-minded people to discuss today’s biggest sources of sex negativity and discuss how to address them.
Emerging Issues in Ethical Nonmonogamy
More and more people are opening up not just their minds when it comes to sex, but their relationships as well. This means even more unique takes on ethical practices and more potential for conflict. This discussion will focus on sharing current observations in ENM communities and examples of effective conflict management.
Looking Ahead…
You may have noticed that I don’t mention any workshops in May, and there is a reason for that.
I’ll be spending May helping out a short-staffed Outdoor Education Center in the northeast. I used to work there before moving to New Orleans, and I’m super excited to get some quality nature and teaching time in and to recharge my sex ed batteries with a little break.
I’ll be back on June 1st and ready to go full-steam ahead back into workshops, articles, live streams, and more.
I’m not gone yet, though, so keep in touch! I always love hearing from y’all.
Stay sexy. <3
